The History
Dimora La Casetta is deeply rooted in local tradition.
Once known as the “parish house” and belonging to the Curia since the late 19th century, it has always been part of the community’s fabric. In the 1970s, Tognu—my dear father, a truly remarkable man—had the intuition to purchase this property. As a child, I saw it as nothing more than an abandoned ruin, while to him it was already a little paradise: a holiday home far from the neighbors’ noise yet close to the village, albeit slightly off the beaten path.
Initially restored in a simple way, the house later underwent significant enhancements following his passing in the 1990s.
Although for many years I was too busy exploring the world on my motorcycle, over time I came to appreciate the undeniable charm of this place. Each time I locked up at the end of summer, I felt a void in my heart, until three years ago, when I decided to make it my permanent home.
Today, nestled in greenery and surrounded by peace, Dimora La Casetta is a magical haven that wins over every visitor. I am grateful every day for the energy of Pietra Parcellara and for Tognu’s memory, which guided me toward this new adventure.
